WOYWW 30 March 2011

Hello everyone! I'm back this week after taking last week off due to exhaustion - see here for more info. Here's my workdesk today, once again it has purple and butterflies and Tim Holtz stuff. Can't get enough of the technique Tim did here,  I'm doing it on everything! These are the foundation for a few mother's day cards as it's Mother's Day this Sunday in Wales.  What are your plans for Mother's Day?  I'm hoping for the Glee 4 album and a day out as I no longer work on a Sundays. Yipee!

For more workdesks just pop along to Julia's blog and follow the links.

Where has the time gone?

I can't believe it's been nearly 2 weeks since I last blogged!  I recently changed jobs as you can see here and although I have loads more free time I've been so tired I've not been able to enjoy it, last Friday and Saturday night I fell asleep n the sofa before 11pm! Feel much better this week so lots of blogging to catch up on!

First up is the 60th Birthday Card to a very special man, Bob Barry, who works really hard with Duffryn Community Link helping people when they need it the most.  I really enjoyed making this card and all they techniques on it.

Almost everything on the card is Tim Holtz!  The background is from the Pappillion set, I used his Ribbon tape and 60 is made from Grungeboard and I used Vintage Photo distress ink everywhere!  Other than that a few torn book pages covered with Gesso and a pastel stripy paper which has grunged up nicely with distress ink complete the card.

I've also had a couple of commissions over the last couple of weeks, a 4th birthday card, shown below and a wedding card and christening card to follow later this week.

Well, see you tomorrow for WOYWW, bye for now.

WOYWW 16th March 2011

Hi Everyone, Thanks for the lovely comments on last weeks posts (can't believe I managed to link up to the wrong one!).  This morning I'm working on a little flower embellishment to put on a present (the big pot) for my friends birthday today - you can also see a bit of the card I made her which I blogged about here.  I've also got some more work to do on the Man's birthday card.  Don't worry you I'll blog it all when he has received it.

To see more desk's go to Julia's blog, there's loads of brilliant inspiration there.

Friday5 - 11/3/11

1. Looking forward to S's class assembly this morning, she's playing a bird and get's to do some ballet in it. She's so excited - we get a daily report on how the dance is progressing.

3. Really enjoying this week. I've managed to be quite organised with everything, work, home and crafting. Even managing to get some of this post written early!

3. That's because atm I'm doing this sitting in a cold car waiting for A and the kids to come out of the Dolman Theatre after seeing Camp Rock.

4. I had some brilliant news this morning, I got a new job Teaching Swimming in Newport.  I'm now going to be working there on a Monday and Tuesday night and Saturday Mornings.

5. Got to write my resignation letter for the call centre can't wait to have my Thursday, Friday and Sundays free.

WOYWW 9th March 2011

I'm really organised this week and I took my picture earlier on tonight so I could be one of the first on the WOYWW list, instead of one of the last as I usually am.  Loving experimenting with all the new things I got at ArtsyCrafts and today is no different.

Today I'm working on a birthday card for a man, can't say more than that at the moment.  The background stamping from one of Tim's new stamp sets, the butterfly one, and grunged it up with Vintage Photo distress ink, on top of that is some books paper which I've Gesso'd and then distressed with Vintage Photo as well.

Here's a better photo of the cards I made yesterday.

Tattered florals Birthday cards

I have been working on some birthday cards with my new Tattered Florals die. They've turned out really great, I'm so impressed! It's amazing how easy they came together with the best products products from Tim Holtz. Love the Adage tickets and tissue tap - finally picked some up at ArtsyCrafts, they make crafting so easy. Thank you Tim.

Inspiration for Birthday Presents

I don't know about you but I always struggle with birthday presents.  I never know what to get people so then I usually decide (last minute of course!) to make something.  Here are my last 2 creations, one was for a friend's birthday and the other was for my Dad (Dad-cu is Welsh for Grandfather).

WOYWW - 2/3/11

Here's my desk tonight, full of flowers from the tattered floral die cut in my Vagabond. Loving the machine it is so easy to use!

Also you can see2 pendants have made for the boys, just need to measure them up forth length of the chain and then they are ready to go.

Also here's quick snap of the ATC's i've been doing fromTin's TSV. Loving the versatility of alcohol ink. Can't wait to get more colours.

See you next week, if not before. Why not follow my blog ando see if you enjoy the updates.

Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus

Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus is pawb, gobeithio eich bod wedi eu ddathlu gyda hwyl a sbri.

Happy St David's Day Everyone, hope you have had fun celebrating today.

For more information this a great book about the life of St David - The Story of Saint David

I've had a great day with A off work we could both go the school Eisteddfod and watch the 3 of them perform with their different classes.  Everyone really enjoyed themselves but S and J were a bit disappointed when their house came last again this year!

And finally 1 more pic from ArtsyCrafts to show tonight, me with the man himself.  He was so lovely and real, just like he is in his videos.  So patient - everyone wanted a photo with him or for him to sign something - and he greeted everyone with a smile and happy face to what they needed.  Here's my pic.
